Hello folks! As you most likely know, KLW has quite a few projects in the works that have taken longer then usual. The reason for this is I've been taking it easy lately. After all, out of the 380+ days I have owned MSTS, over 300 of them involved at least an hour of work on the program. I feel that I need to stop for at least two weeks as yesterday, I felt quite nauseous looping a horn for the Savanna River Plant RS1, which also pointed out to me that I need to take a break. This will delay the Train-Sim 50 States Collection, but with PSP7 sitting under my tree, I have a feeling that my repaints will benifit from the wait.Anyway, following are a couple of KLW projects that are near completion. I will give some up-to-date information on them next to the pictures.Amtrak #503 B32-8WH

RE: KLW TrainSim news...many photos

Hate to say this Kurt, not to bad. The only thing is the angles seem way to sharp, esp. on the GE units. They are sharp, but yours do not seem as rounded as the units I've seen.Kevin Arceneaux

Hello Kevin!True - the nose on both the GE standard and wide cabs are very sharp, mostly because the pieces were built from multi-section boxes. If I were to re-build the B40-8W cab, for instance, I'd have to build it starting with two-polygon edges at a 30 degree angle, and build the rest with the 'Make poly from selected points' feature in TSM. That's how I built the SD70M's cab, has extremely smooth edges, but eats up frame rates like nothing.Take care!KurtP.S.: The Savanna River Plant RS1 shown there is v2.0 with new hoods that were constructed by the 'Make poly from selected points' feature.

Don't have a clue about that but I do see what you are saying about the RS1 verses the GE's.Kevin Arceneaux

WOW!... Kurt you have proved that TSM can do master pieces. I you like I can *try*to do some stuff to the FL-9. I can add the third rail shoes for sure. I can so a little bit of work with the textures and some other stuff. You can E-mail it to me.-NHtrain

SD80MAC: I do have a Suizy-Q B40-8 planned for the 50 States Series, but I'll leave the other versions to reskinners. Redoing the cabs also takes a long time (I'm working with MS Paint until December 25th, you know!). BTW - the AC on the current v2.0 also has the alpha-out feature.Nhtrain2: Thanks Was maxing out TSM today with a new GP9 model...wonder where I got the energy to do it! I still need to do quite a bit more work on both trucks on the FL9, so when I need those 3rd rail shoes and some texture help, I'll drop you a line! BTW, here's a photo of that GP9:KLW TrainSim news… many photos – image 29akajim: Glad you like the locos! Hopefully, in about a month, you'll be able to download them from Train-Sim.com!smmille1: Looks like an award-winning paint job to me!Take care!Kurt
