Greetings,
I have the first series of B&O F-Units ready for uploading, but I have one slight problem I am trying to correct. On the B-Unit (see picture) there is a thin dark line surrounding the grill that I cannot seem to locate! It only shows up on the B-Unit, not the A-Unit. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!
Should have the B&O blue/grey pack uploaded in a few days.
Thanks and have a good day!Mykel

RE: 3D-Trains F-Unit Mapping Question

Thanks for the reply, but it is not that.... I think. At least looking at my .ace files, I have the "Y" square painted in the light grey as the surrounding area. I have compared both the A-Unit and the B-Unit ace files and it seems that they are the same (no noticable dark areas where they shouldn't be), seeing that the A-Unit does not show this. Is the "Y" square the only thing that would affect this?
Thanks again!Mykel

RE: 3D-Trains F-Unit Mapping Question

Is the Wire.ace alpha completely black? It sits behind the farr grille so you can do chicken wire stuff. In the meantime, I'll have a look at the B model to see what might be causing this.Cheers!

RE: 3D-Trains F-Unit Mapping Question

This may or may not help. I have noticed that when two sections are used to form a larger one a dark line appears if the two sections are anti-aliased. The graphics program tries to blend the graphic with the darker area surrounding it on the template. When this happens on both pieces a line develops between them. This may have nothing or everything to do with the problem. It is a problem that I had once.Good Luck!

RE: 3D-Trains F-Unit Mapping Question

Marc,
I am using the Freeware version and it doesn't use the wire.ace file. (I hope ). I have looked at the grill.ace files and they seem to be the same as the ones for the A-Unit. Even when I blacken the "Y" square on the alpha channel, the box still appears. If you want, I could send you the .ace file. Maybe it is something that I am simply over looking. (Murphy's Law )Rick,
I think I understand what you are talking about. Did you find a way around this without having to alter things too much? Thanks for replies!Mykel
