Hello Everyone! Sure could use some help here. Whenever I'm engineering on the above-noted route, the train derails maybe 2 or 3 minutes into the trip.(Short Passenger Run). I've slowed the train down to a crawl but it still derails! MSTS has been completely uninstalled and re-installed. Train still derails at any speed.Any assistance, with this ongoing problem, will be very much appreciated.

RE: Train Derailments Notheast Corridor Route

This is a very old and well-known problem. In a nutshell: it's not your train that is derailing, rather it is the AI train that you pass on your way out of the station; it doesn't stop in time and crashes into the buffers at the end of the platform. Try staying in the station and play with your view until you can see the end of the track that the AI train arrives on and you'll see it happen and trigger the message. The work around is to get the hell out of Dodge. If you are far enough away from the accident when it happens it will not terminate the activity. To test this, try flooring it as soon as the activity starts; you'll find you're able to continue without a problem (except for a few speed violations of course). With practice it's possible to get far enough away without breaking any rules.HTH.Rob.
