One more bump from you dude and I'll cancel it!
You probably thought it was a coincidence that we all went on vacation for 2 months this summer after being accused of making vaporware and personal attacks on J-C, myself and other members and the like on these boards....It will be ready when we are.... We like to have things done right when we release... It is in final stages but we have sent things back to the modelers for improvement several times... Like most modelers We tend to get our best ideas along about the time we approach a final model and have something concrete and mostly complete to look at. So you'll just have to wait!Merry ChristmasChuck Schneider

Give them time to finish it. It's only a hobby of theirs not a job. Let them take their time on it.

NALW Metra News? – image 11

Gee, HAC, could you have made them any more......well....grungy? looks good. <begin soapbox>
It continues to amaze me the number of people griping and complaining and gimme gimme about any models, but especially freeware. These freeware creators put numerous, indeed countless hours into their creations for the income of $0.00 from the end consumer. Indeed, unless you use gMax, you would actually be taking a hit from anyware from approx$30 with TSM to $3500 with 3DSMax.You don't see any of us pestering you about your Metra route, do you? Keep in mind that this petty bickering over release dates, etc. was what caused their two month break, and I'm sure to great extent was the reason Train Artisan almost completely dropped off the forum. These creators shouldn't be constantly harrassed and bugged about the status of their projects. I, for one, am happily content to wait for the release, whenever it comes, be it next week or 3 months from now, however long it takes for the creators to be satisfied with their efforts. I think that these things shouldn't be rushed along for the sake of release, but care should be taken, as NALW does, so you don't completely flub something up. I fully enjoy all of NALW's products. Last weekend, I spent a day and a half running the fool out of the PO&N with the new Berk and all varieties of F40's P42DC's, P32AC-DM's, cab cars, etc. I, further, can't believe the blatant disrespect for others shown here. I can't believe Zach would tell shoskins to "shut up" after he and several others were trying to get across the point that it produces adverse effects to continue to annoy the modeler(s) of a project. I think that CSX_CW60AC_GregMarck said it best here: "Being greedy in life gets you no where. And the same goes for taking stuff for granted" It really doesn't. Now, with that out of the way, I would like to extend my warmest thanks to each member of NALW for the superior works they create. Thanks for doing this out of your own free time for the enjoyment of those of us who enjoy sitting in front of our computers, dropping hours moving virtual freight and passengers. At least I don't break anything when I miss a switch and launch myself through the end of track over the next hill or four.

RE: NALW Metra News?

Vaporware? anyone suggesting that has got to be a troll,
If it's connected to NALW you know the product is real and in the works. quality takes time and I have never been disapointed with the many fine pieces that have been released.
When problems have materialized you can bet there is in the very least a stop gap if not a full patch coming within 24-48 hours of it being discovered.
In short keep up the good work and I know I can wait

RE: NALW Metra News?

I second that opinion. NALW releases the best-quality MSTS stuff here. (I mean on TrainSim.com, not some other site.) Everything looks good, sounds good, works good, and, most important of all, WORKS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

Id say yes as the Metro north and MBTA ones did so it should also.Best thing you guys can do is just forget about them for now,go run some trains and in no time they will be availible.Thats what I did for the Metro North cars and then our prayers were answered by chuck and tim and all the rest of the guys and soon enough yours will too.Never rush anybody on something you cant do yourself.
