I have just recently reloaded MSTS after packing it in from burn out in August 2001.My question. If one had to select the ten best downloads from the Train-Sim.Com library, what would they be?I've been searching through the libraries for the past hour and realize that someone has probably done all of this research before me. I have the latest Microsoft upgrades but my patch library has nothing new from July 2001. We are talking about general stuff that will make my software run better, snazzier, etc. I create my own activities and use only the Marias Pass Route (and 3DTS Tehachapi). Thanks in advance. Links to web sites are fine.

Utilities I've used:Route Riter - Reduces route file size by removing unused textures and objects. Available here at Trainsim.com File Library
ToolsBackground - Gives track, switches, and next station monitors a transparent background - Also here at Trainsim.com File Library
AnalogX Maxmem - Frees up RAM for those of us whose computers are lacking.
http://www.analogx.com/
I've also used the various patches and updates that Maple Leaf Tracks and 3d Train Stuff provide for their routes.
______________________________________________________________________My own personal (emphasis on personal now) top 10 routes. Not in any particular order, except the first one.Payware:1. Kicking Horse Pass, Maple Leaf Tracks - Still my favorite route, very high quality. They also have the Sandpatch route available, which I don't have, but looks impressive by the screenshots. See previous post for link.
2. Cajon Pass, 3d Train Stuff, 240 + miles of well done scenery and track, well worth the 38 bucks. Techapi II will be out soon. http://www.3dtrainstuff.com/products/usa-branch/cajon_pass.htmlFreeware:3. Port Ogden and Northern 6 - Trainsim.com File Library4. Marias Pass 3 - Trainsim.com File Library5. Sand Diego and Arizona (Carizzo Gorge) - Trainsim.com File Library6. Ohio Rail 10 - Over at Avsim.com - sorry, don't have the link7. Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Route - Trainsim.com File Library8. Raton Pass - Trainsim.com File Library9. Full Bucket Line - Trainsim.com File Library10. Whitefish 2.0 - not yet publicly available
