Hi, Am having trouble with the above download and was wondering if any body else has encountered this problem? Iinstalled the loco and cars and consists first, as I have to install by hand to my D drive, because the download automatically installs to the C drive! . Anyway ,when I went to try these cars out in a consist I got an error message "Failed to find SMS file X_refrige.sms". also one about the same for the caboose, although none for the cement car which seems to be OK.What is going on here? I had exactly this same thing happen to me. Apparently the thing decides on its own not to install certain files, depending on the phase of the Moon. I re-installed the SD40-2 package right on top of the previous one, selecting "repair" when that box came up. That did it.
This first time I downloaded the upgrade, about two weeks ago, it installed perfectly.Because of some tinkering and adjustments, I completely reloaded MSTS and did another download. Two tries to install gave me the same result as mentioned above, although with different files referenced.After trying the "repair option", all is well. Note: on the first install, which was perfect, I never saw the OPTION box appear. Everything just loaded whiz, bang.Eighteen months away from MSTS and some things never change.I am appreciating the scenery more after cranking up the display values to max. With a small consist, like the new work train consist, you can run the display value way up without losing too much on frame rate.
Its the US2FRIEGHTREFRIGE, in your trainset file. Its the sound file for the reefer unit on the car. Unfortunately, its not working at all. I had to change the sound file to GenFrieght Wag4.sms, to finally stop the error message you've been having.Blasted thing would knock me right out of the sim.

Open any wag file in Wordpad. at the end of it you will see the sms line. Highlight it and the right click and copy. Open the USFREIGHTREFRIGE.wag in wordpad. Find the sms line and highlight it. Right click on the paste. That should copy the sms line from the other wag over the one in the wag file. Save and you are done.Kevin Arceneaux It is time for Amtrak to become a fallen flag!
