I recently downloaded the freeware GP35 from Dekosoft's website (the Seaboard (CSX) one), downloaded a reskin from the file library, and followed the instructions on making a 'new' train..However, when I try to load the new train into MSTS, I always get a 'send/don't send' error..I've tried dozens of times since the GP35 came out; but my computer doesn't like any reskins being made of it..I checked the .s, .sd, and .eng files for any references whatsoever that I might need to correct (searching for the words 'GP35sbd', 'GP35 and 'sbd'-I had renamed the reskin 'GP35atsf'..)..So far; nothing I've done seems to work..is there anything else I could do to fix the problem?
I suspect you may be missing files -- did you copy all files from the source (gp35sbd) folder into your new gp35atsf folder before copying the new files into it? If you can load the original freeware GP35 without an error, then something is probably missing or there is a filename reference conflict in the new files. You mentioned checking the latter, but also make sure the .s, .eng, and .sd files have the same name (e.g., gp35atsf.s, gp35atsf.sd, gp35atsf.eng).Chip Dekosoft Trains http://dekosoft.com/design/msts
