Heard on a local radio tech-talk show this AM that it is thought that M$ has such a big investment in the XBOX system that many M$ games (mentioned-Midtown Madness, the flight sims and train sim) next year will migrate to the XBOX format only! They said M$ wants to draw the public away from PC gaming since the graphics in the PC medium cannot expand much beyond whats available today. Also a big profit goes to M$ if they lure you away from PC gamming in favour of XBOX games. Also mentioned that M$ loses money for every XBOX sold at $199 or below. Its a marketing ploy to lure more gammers to that system.

What?why is that,Nvidia Geforce 4 ti 4600, ATI Radeon 9700 pr are better than a xbox's video gpu.and the pc have faster cpu's than a xbox's cpu. (you cant update locos on a xbox system or routes.)
I myself can't see MS doing this. To add to the other two posts, do you really think the editors would work worth a damn on xbox? I don't think it would for it can be a real pain on a pc. Rich
Couple of problems with migrating TS to Xbox, the Xbox crowd are into the crash-bang games, lots of action, bullets flying everywhere. The TS crowd are slightly more pedestrian in their tastes. I haven't seen nary a bullet on any TS route, save Shinhansen (and those are in scant supply). The other point is the strategy that MS has pursued with MSTS and MSFS, both use an open architecture. This has encouraged the proliferation of commericial and not for profit development, that has truely added appeal and longevity to these games. In short, MS has carefully crafted a franchise, damaging that franchise by forcing a move to another platform, is inviting the competition in to replace its dominance in this market. Now Mid-Town Madness would be sweet on Xbox, dude.
