I would really like to see one area in the 1880's so you are in a diffrent time period. Also you could be robed or derailed which would be intresting. The arrow and bars shall return!Firm beleaver in Ceo David Gunn (Amtrak)

What I want isn't on your list. I want the import and export of add-ons to be an integral part of MSTS... a tool that you could point to a route, engine, or wagon directory and hit "Export..." and it would package that up in a documented file format that would be eaten by a corresponding "Import..." menu item. Before it exported anything, it would check to make sure that everything was there, named correctly, etc., such that if you ran Import on one of these files, you could be certain that everything would go in the right place, and nothing in there would break your MSTS installation to the point that it wouldn't run.And then... Route Servers. These are an aid to packaging routes and activities as above. Any route designer who wanted to could host a "Route Server" for that route, and MSTS would automagically look there for items it could not find... the boxcar you need for the "Down the pass in the handcart" activity, the terrtex it couldn't find anyplace else, etc.The Route Server could also do a "Windows Update" sort of function for the route... here are three activities you don't have, they require two locos and three flatcars you don't have, do you want to download all this stuff now... that kind of thing. Push one button and it all gets put in the proper place, ready to run.We don't need Microsoft spending their time making more default locos and wagons. We have 'em coming out our ears. What they can do, that nobody else can do, is standardize the method by which these things get packaged, moved around, and installed.
All great suggestions. I would add:The ability to import/export path segments in an activity and the ability to link them. The ability to insert a consist into another consist or export/copy a portion of a consist into another consist.A full screen consist editor (or at least one that shows 20-30 tiems at a time rather then three -- heck, I've got GN boxcars in excess of the numbers of the entire original freight set.)(minor) A means of making loose consists with the bother of having to name them and thenmn delete the named version when done.Better documentation!!!Brad Meyer
