I have a new computer that I use strictly for MSTS. I have installed several routes and some extra rolling stock.
Computer: P4 2 gig, SOYO mb, 512 ram, GeForce 3 Ti500, HD 40 gb
7200 rpm and onboard audio CM18738/C3DX/PCI with Legacy
driver.
Routes: RAton, Ohio Rail, Cajon, SD@A, Full Bucket, KHP, LTV
Mining, Marias3, Sandpatch and all default MSTS routes.
Somewhere in the installations and degfragging I have lost part of the cab sounds. All locos have lost brake air sounds (apply/release), throttle and DB notch clicks, reverser operating sounds and headlight switch clicks. Between the various locos some have the DB blower sounds and some have not. Some have sanding air sound and air compressor running but others do not. What is the remedy for this? Is there a particular file or folder that is missing, corrupted or misplaced? Can it be fixed with a patch or the forboding complete reinstall? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tom

Check to make sure your sound slider is at max in the sim options.
