Jul-18-01, 05:54 PM (EST) "Mariah Pass--Noon mixed freight" Having trouble controlling my speed. Even with emergency braking I can't hold it back and wind up with a broken coupler. Any suggestions? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Mariah Pass--Noon mixed freight" Richard is right about changing the sensitivity settings, but if your train is running away from you on the down grades you are probably not using sand. You have to drop sand just before you apply the brakes to keep the wheels from locking up on the slippery rail when you have to brake hard. Once the wheels start sliding, no amount of braking will slow your bobsled down - you have to get those wheels turning again. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
