RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

Hi LocomanI have just read your post and it turns out I have already reskined the e8 into CL14 and CLP12 in Australian National colours. I have been testing these locos on a prototype Indian Pacific. I haven't uploaded them as yet because1. there not quite finnished
2. I need to get permission to do so from several people
3. I'm not sure if I can use the Aust. National or the Indian Pacific Logo yet.
I am planning to do an Overland an a Ghan set as well.here are a few screens for youCheers FreightKing

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

Nice work.
Seeing as AN no longer exists you should be able to use its logo! Most companys dont care as long as its not payware. Also the CLP were never painted in the standard AN colours only the CLFs were. Anyway very nice i espically like the carriages!Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages – image 4

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

Hi AdambI welcome your comments. I didn't do a great deal of research for either loco. I think the easiest way to fix it would be to renumber to CLF class. I knew it was'nt quite right anyhow as the portholes on the CL, CLP and CLF are in different positions and so are some of the grilles. I do have 1 question though, what colour are they on the back, Green or Yellow ?These reskins were just an experement to begin with. I have been running the deisels myself for qutie some time. The Carriages, however I have only started within the last month. I never really thought about uploading until I found out that somebody was asking about them. These are reskins of the VIA 2.0 coaches and as such I will have to get permission to upload. PS. 4 differnt coaches:Coach, Baggage, Diner and SleeperOnce again, Thanks for the commentsFreightKing

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

Very nice indeed.Upload away - as long as it's freeware, you're ok. Contact me off-list if you want it on the Aussie MSTS page. Jens-Chris will most likely be agreeable to the E8 re-skin (BTW, did you use Michael Thomspon's "shrunk" E8s?).One thing, though. The standard E8 bogies are so obviously wrong - change the bogies to flexicoil - they'll look much more accurate and it's a super simple change.Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages – image 6RegardsYuri.

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

You know..I'm a fan of those EMC products that one or more Aussie railroads are running ( and did run ). I often think of traveling to your fine country just to go train chasing (besides, I'd love to go hear Darlene Zschech at Hillsong Church sometime at the Hillsong Conference in NSW)Great transformation on the E units!

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

G'Day YuriI visit your site frequently, Micheal Thompsons 4201 actually inspired me to have a go at reskinning and I ended up with CL14 (my first reskin). With all the freight cars I have downloaded from your site I decided to make CLP12, Which as AdamB has pointed out was never painted in This scheme (Will have to alter that one), Never researched that one either just did it because it was easy after the first one. Another error on both locos which I can't fix is the position of the horns.Question: How do I change the bogies ? Will contact you when I have them both ready>CheersFreightKing

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

if you want to change the bogie you have to load up E8SIDE1.ace and change it there. all you need to do is paste the new one ontop and it dosent have any alpha channesl so its all easy! BTW you could also modify the textures slightly and make it a GM class Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages – image 7BTW the end is yellow

RE: Aussie CLP carbody diesel and Overland carriages

Where do I get a replacement bogie texture from ? I would hate to have to try drawing them by hand.
