Front Coupler Actually Works? – image 2

Well, just for grins and giggles, I decided to see if the front coupler works... shockingly, IT does... I tried it with 10 locomotives, JUST TO MAKE SURE, and I was shocked to say the least that I coupled up to the train, and took off at 50mph with 110 car coal train... So, does this mean it is fully fixed? Nah.. it still has a bit of a drag, but hey, it works... i'll post another pic on this..

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

So maybe MS did secretly fix the front coupler in V1.2? So that might be the reason you have to restart?-------------My favourite LUL train-------------

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

Why? There is no big difference between the four except that the newer one might have more features.-------------My favourite LUL train-------------

There is quite a bit of a difference between them. 2K and XP are a huge improvement over 98. We will not even mention that other one in between that should be forgotton. You should have been around when 3.11WG game out.Kevin Arceneaux

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

The front coupler was "officially" fixed in version 1.1And it worked fine for me. Are you saying that it is even better now in version 1.2?

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

I don't think there is any improvement for the front coupler in 1.2.It is just a new engine/consist activity loaddown. The front coupler works fine for me from 1.1 as well.David

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

Well, the front coupler works in 1.1 so long as it sticks out of the bounding box for that engine.
Also, you can have a real bear of a time uncoupling the engine if you have more than about 8 cars on the point. (You have to step-thru the trainops box six cars at a time 'til you get to the loc) Has that been fixed in 1.2?

RE: Front Coupler Actually Works?!

This is still a problem. I have to run around a train of hoppers and shove them up a branch (with front of loco) to a loader. You have to click on the coupler
in the trainops box several times to get it to uncouple and when it does, You lose your view of the rear. You can view only 6 cars in the box also.
