V1.1 and 1.2 questions

If I install1.1 (trainupdate.exe) is that the patch earlier released? If so, what are the ramifications of installing. The 1.2 stuff is all addon stuff, so 1.1 is the only question I have. What is the difference between it and v1.0, which I have from June last year.Bradley Linda

V1.1 fixes the front coupler patch(well, kind of).-------------My favourite LUL train-------------

Kinda and it did change some rolling stock files as well. Download it and open it up, its a zip and see what files it is replacing. Choose to do all or some. Also included an updated list of video cards for the diagnostic program.

That is a winzip exe. I just clicked on it and said ok to first message. Next window has options like unzip or run winzip. Choose run winzip and it opens up the zip file and you can see all the files.

Ok, I did the V1.2 download and ran the .exe
How do I tell the difference? Does the MSTS help about show v 1.1
How about the V1.2 download. How different is it?

You could have used the EDIT function for typos.See the readme n the train simulator root directory. There is a readme there and it says what your version is.-------------My favourite LUL train-------------

V1.1 is the original upgrade that changed the front coupler problem and some other stuff. It works on my system (XP).1.2 is just a train and activities update, and nothing more.David

Thanks for the info on the v1.2 patch. I haven't spent much time with MSTS in a while. I'm quietly gathering materials for a route, just taking my time. I keep hoping for a fix for the path problems encountered over long stretches of track.Thanks again for the patch update clarification.LP
