Interesting observation done 10 minutes ago in a computer games store just across the hall from the internet café where I am now sitting (in Norway's biggest railway station Oslo Central Station, no the less...):Microsoft Train Simulator (yes, the original) in: A DVD-size box, as opposed to the normal box AND with a sticker on the front: Contains two new locomotives, seven new rolling stock and other stuffNothing more on the box that could hint on what it was, though... The back of the box contained the normal route and rolling stock descriptions..Anyone know more 'bout this?
The DVD size box has been in use for at least six months now. Many game manufacturers are going to the smaller box to cut costs. Since most of don't include manuals anymore (the documentation is on CD or Web) the larger box is not needed. As far as new locos, etc. I don't know.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, ORColumbia Gorge Route (Blasting tunnels near Lyle, Washington)
Yes, another Post says the same. No indication whether it includes the UPDATE ?Looks like MICROSOFT's Last Gasp effort to milk the last drop out of the old MSTS Cow, adding a couple of new locos, or some Distributor trying to shift old stock after re-packaging it ?
I recall that about a year ago, Kuju made a very limited release of a British Deltic diesel; the only public release I'm aware of was as a CD inserted into a British Gamer's magazine. It included a rather basic new cabview, and a very basic route (about 2KM of single track with a spur on each end). I wonder if that Deltic is one of the 'new' engines being offered? Dan
