Hi! The one thing MS left out in train sim are some of the more famous routes. I would love to see a Sand Patch, Horseshoe Curve, or a Donner Pass done for train sim. If anyone knows if or where I could find routes like this, please let me know!

RE: Looking for famous routes

Andre, I assume we are talking about Horse Shoe Curve near Altoona, Pa. I was there last spring and the trees had grown so tall, viewing was limited. They were starting a drive to collect funds to trim the trees and shrubs so a full view of the curve will be possible. when completed. The view from just inside the "toe" (that is the viewing area provided) of the horseshoe will be fantastic. I hope the route design will not include the offending trees and shrubs. It should be an awesome route and I, for one, am looking forward to d/ling it. Keep us posted.

RE: Looking for famous routes

Guys:Just a clarification: I am working on none of the above. I was merely repeating what I had read here at these forums sometime over the past 3 months I've been a part of this.As for the Donner Pass route, the creator has posted pics of the DEM'ed route up around the summit. Things are looking really nice. I've seen no screens of the PRR Horseshoe route, only read posts. Hopefully the creators of these routes will step up and let you all know how things are progressing.Andre Ming
