I have downloaded this great pack in anticipation of the Cajon Route. In particular I dig the UP C40-8 and C40-8W. The problem is I cannot get them to pull. I had 3xUP Dash 8's lashed with 60 UP loaded coal cars and could only get 8 mph. When I try the same load with 4 SD45T's it hauls just fine. I have tried other loads with the Dash 8's and they seem to start then stall. Any ideas? They just seem underpowered in relation to other locos.Pete
I have the same "problem".Well, it's not really a problem, I figured that one out today. When you release the brakes, they don't release very fast on these engines... check inside the cab until you see the brake pressure get up to 90. Then you'll be set to go!------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to involved with trains, the Union Pacific!

Roger that! It took 11 minutes for the pressure to reach 90 psi. After that she roared down the line. Is that a realistic time for the compressors on 5 locos to charge a 73 car consist in the summer?Pete
The question is... is the fix more realistic than what it is originally done? or is this for convenience?I kinda hate it, it takes about 8 to 10 minutes for 3 Amtrak P42s hauling about 30 cars. (A mix of mail, express freight, 10 Superliners, and a few baggage...), the only thing that keeps me going with it is saying to myself, "it's realistic, it's realistic...."------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to involved with trains, the Union Pacific!
