I recently purchased a fairly "low end" pc at Microcenter as a "second pc" for home use. It is a Powerspec 6325: 1.7 GHz Celeron, 256 DDR Ram. It has an "integrated graphics card" SiS 650 AGP graphics chipset. Anyhow, this is not my " powergame machine ", and it is doing what I wanted it to do as a second pc. But just for fun, I thought I would install MSTS and see how it ran compared to my " power machine."Although I've got the graphics turned down a bit, it seems to run pretty smoothly in the game, exploring Marias Pass. When I go to the route editor, I can easily slew around Shelby without a lot of stutters. But here is the strange thing: the keyboard controls don't work. It all works fine with the mouse: brakes, throttle, horn, sander, and so on. The only keyboard response I get is F1, which calls up MSTS help, and Alt>F4, which gives me the exit activity prompt, and Enter, which then lets me exit. All other keys seem dead. I tried the troubleshooting thing, and turned down some and then all the graphic things, but that never made a diffence (except the game looked lousey).Any ideas as to what is going on? I have a 2 1/2 year old "Prophet 32 DDR in a now defunct other machine. I am thinking of putting it in just to see if that fixes MSTS, but really don't care to invest too much more $$ into making my second machine better than it already is.BTW, I have the MSTS patch installed. Thanks,Ted Kessel

RE: Keyboard conflict

Sounds to me like a faulty keyboard or driver. Have you swapped the keyboard with the one on your other machine to see if that works? If it doesn't get the latest software for the keyboard from the manufacturers website. If it does you probably have a faulty keyboard - a new one is cheap these days unless you want something fancy (mine is cordless and I couldn't be tempted to ever use a corded one again).Bill
