RE: airslide hoppers

So I'm not the only one....well not the exact same issue but a similar lock up experience.First I just want to say I really like these cars..the model looks good, all of the paint schemes I've seen them in look good but w/ my computer they have 'issues'. Normaly w/ any non-comforming cars I just delete them....but I can't bring myself to w/ these.I currently have the 14 road pack of these installed, a single GATX blue one, and the SID black one. (then the new ones that just came out that I have to look at)but when I was running my test trains, using the MSTS default consist editor...sometimes with these airslides:
-when I added a car
-when I removed a car
-when the consists was visible, and I scrolled over and an airslide came into view.the editor would lock up and the send/don't send msg would appear..
then when I did have a train of them, and I switched to an outside view w/ an airslide visible it would dump to the send/don't send w/ no warning......
bummerany help??MattAirslide hoppers – image 1

RE: airslide hoppers

Do you use the upgraded versions? The black Sid Richardson is the new version, as well as the newer pack which was uploaded at the end of June.
The symptoms you have are exactly the same as I had before the upgrade. I still have no idea what caused it. I just remade the second level model.

RE: airslide hoppers

The dates on the .s files I have
super pack 6-21/22-02
GATX 4-9-02
SID 6-24-02I think I got a lot more errors on the GATX one, and I might have still had a few on the others ...I'll have to check again w/ the editor...

RE: airslide hoppers

I tested all of my airslides again...making sure they all had the more recent 6-22-02 .s file. They now all work with no problems both in the activity editor, and on routes. It was the older .s that was throwing me.
and as I recall the others that I also had probs w/ were some of the first out....
so thats all it takes is to have an up to date .s fileMattAirslide hoppers – image 3

RE: airslide hoppers

in Explorer find an airslide folder that has the 6/22 dated s file. Highlight and right click and then click on copy. Go to the folders that have the old s file and paste it into those folders saying yes to overwrite. Kevin Arceneaux

RE: airslide hoppers

I hate when MSTS does this. It did this same with the H-24-66, but after 2 months of fine work! Or I thought those crashes were the "regular" crashes with MSTS...
