RE: TA Frisco 1522 Freeware ?

Personally, I feel that purchasing an "engine", and as a side benefit you get the the ability to use all the free skins that appear for it, is more than fair. Having come from model railroading where a $500 engine is "cheap"... I think I've got a fantastic bargain paying 3Dtrains $10 for their excellent looking F's.In addition, I felt it was the right thing to do send Train-sim.com $30 for the use of this fabulous site with all these superb downloads.Though I'm a rank newbie to MSTS and this forum, it appears to me there is a "core" of very knowlegable people doing the lion's share of work on these wonderful downloads we receive. If at times they need a few dollars to try to offset all of their hard work and effort... is that a bad thing? I don't think so.Case in point: In HO scale model railroading, Kadee Mfg Company now offers ONE boxcar for about $30. I set it on the track, and there it is. OR, I could take that same $30 and purchase the Cajon Route CD, and get hundreds of miles of "real time" railroading, equipment for several different era's, free add-on's, and untold hours of play value. THAT is "value".If you want the 1522, and it's released as a "purchase" engine... for heaven's sake buy it.Yes, MSTS is a cheap hobby in comparison to some of the hobby interests I've been involved with... but, the ol' saying goes:"There ain't no free lunches".SOMEONE has to put out the work.Andre Ming
