First a pic of V.Bollig's 1935 Henschel-Wegmann, a work of art on rails !! Second, a pic for 'Ottodad' and other Tram fetishists, a 1913 Steam Tram & coaches from Jur Snijder; great models ! And third,a 'time-warp' pic of me, 55 years later, next to Steve Nicklin's 1937 'Brush' Blackpool tram, which I last travelled on when I was 10 years old.

Hey grandpaOz,Several days ago there was a thread about that smokey streamliner 61 001 & 61 002 (rebuilt)... But at that time apparently nobody around here knew about it ever being modeled in trainsim, let alone ready for download... Threre was some interesting history and specs: 7 foot drivers, 112 m.p.h.!

Yup, I remember that thread . Here's a brief summary:While 61 001 (the 4-6-4 variant) remained in Western Germany after the war and was retired and scrapped ( ) in 1952, 61 002, the 4-6-6 variant which was still operational with the East German railways, was rebuilt into an amazing 4-6-2 express tender locomotive numbered 18 201. While not being the fastest steam engine of all times, 18 201 is certified to be the fastest preserved steam locomotive still operational today. Not bad at all for a loco which is essentially a kitbash made of components from several different locomotives.
I can't wait to see her in TS...luckily, Michael Barthels (MadMike) seems to be working on it .Dominik MannProud Member of the MSTS European Railfans

G'day, I realise this is not what you meant, but, there is a Zeppelin you can fly, it follows the track. I think Mad Mike made it. I tried to install it, but it didn't like my PC, but you may have better luck. On a new route, I usually take the Bell47 helicopter for a run over it first, to check it out. Would love a more liesurely run, like the Zep, or even a Hot-air Balloon !!
regards
grandpaOz
