Looking good! You might want to choose a more mellow tone for the background color. Easier on the eyes...

Just choose a lighter color, like a powder blue.

A light background and dark text would be good. The red text on the blue BG is hard on the eyes. Good luck with your forum...I just signed up.

Well I changed the colors around. Hopefully things are more readable.
