A Beautiful Day At The Beach (pics)

For New Years day, my freind Heather invited me to come with her and her freind Kristina to Ocean City MD for the day. I've never been to OC before, but I had a feeling it could be a great trip. I had an added bonus of catching a train on the way there, ... we were sailing over CSX's Capital Sub when a northbound autorack train powered by a matched set of SD70MACs split the signals at Dorsey MD.I took my Nikon FM10 with both my small zoom and my 240mm telephoto lense. This is what I saw....1. Approach to the Bay Bridge in the morning sun.2. Mid span.3. Hehehe, I just love telephoto zoom lenses....4. I caught this small boy walking along the peir, I though it'd make for a nice "awww" picture.5. While on the beach, I found this girl making a sand castle (mound, lol) complete with a feather on top. Adorable, isn't it?6. Heather is seen here attempting a sand castle with minimal success.7. The finished product...8. This is one of my favorites, ... this lone Seagull enjoying a day with clear skies, and mild temps.9. This was the best pose Heather could pull off....
10. Note the lone seagull midway through the photo. Pretty.11. Sparkles on the water. The sun was so bright that even at a shutter speed of 1/2000th of a second, and the smallest apreature created backlighting. It actually worked out nicely, I think.12. What a view from up there, eh?13. The chain links lining the peir sides.14. I thought this picture of Kristina came out nicely.15. Ocean City was the place to be, lots of people.16. Now for some fun. On the way back over the Bay Bridge, I made 3 time exposures of about 20 seconds each. At first glance, they don't look like much, but after looking carefully, you can see they are quite interesting to look at. Enjoy!!!!-JeffreyEdit-Forgot half the pics, d'oh!

There was a line for Thrashers about... oh, 6-8 miles longJ/k, but the wait would have been an hour or more.Adam, OC is a fine place for meeting woman, as are many Maryland places. Why don't you come up for a holiday? -Jeffrey

...like I said, it was my first time to Ocean City. It was nice, but is no competition for Myrtle Beach SC........OC seems pretty damn tacky compared to MB....and I've always thought Myrtle beach was alot cleaner... but oh well, still a nice day -Jeffrey
