Over 80.000 in Indonesia alone closest to the earth-quake, 30.000 in Sri Lanka, thousands in India and Thailand.
These numbers will continue to grow when still missing persons must be assumed dead. Here in the Nordic countries we are missing thousands as the region is popular with tourists.
Sweden has over 3.500 missing, Norway and Denmark over 400 each and Finland over 200 missing.I'm not religious but I can understand the wish to pray at a time like this.
The region will suffer from this for a long time, all those lifes lost,
the knowledge lost and the material losses with homes roads and railways wrecked. They will surely need any help you can give.

Thats sad to hear something so tragic happen, last I heard the death toll is now at 150,000, which is sad real sad, my thoughts and prayers are with them. I'm truly sorry for those in this forum who (may) have relatives living in South East Asia. Mike
