Anybody going to watch "3" this evening on ESPN? At first I thought it was going to be a flop, but Barry Pepper looks like he has done a good job making himself into Earnhardt, even spending a good deal of time with Jr. during shooting, and watching film of Dale Sr. Chris Bogley Syracuse New York http://photobucket.com/albums/v520/CBP/
Not a bad film. I enjoyed the portrayal of Ralph Earnhardt, and Barry Pepper darn near looked like Earnhardt but for a bit longer face than the ol' Ironhead had. And of course, Elizabeth Mitchell is a babe.Probably going to buy it on DVD.

RE: "3"
Whens it gonna be on again? I really wanted to watch it but my friend conned me into spending the night at his house and my mom tried to tape it but totally screwed the VCR (yes, VCR, we are old-school ) -Dave

It's going to be out on DVD tomorrow. I liked it but I thought the story skipped around too much. For instance, they could told the story of the Daytona 500's a little better, how he lost so many of them in such strange ways and finally winning in '98. I could think of some other things also. For a Dale Earnhardt fan like me I could follow the story pretty well, but a person who knew little about him would have had a hard time following the story. Oh yeah, Kerry Earnhardt's son, Jeffrey, races at a local dirt track about 30 miles up the road.
It has been on ESPN and ESPN2 seeminly non stop since last night. As they say, check your local listings. It will be on again, probally tommorow.I have to agree, the only flaw with the movie was the skipping aorund, and not trulyexplaining the story behind the legacy at Daytona. I like the way it ended though, really gave me some goosebumps.Chris Bogley Syracuse New York http://photobucket.com/albums/v520/CBP/

So they probably wanted to show more but time limit forced them to do the skipping around thing.
