Don't care much about cars anymore. Always liked cars like the Dodge Challenger or Ford Mustang from the 60's or 70's. But the fuel consumption is far beyond what I'd be able to pay for so I'll stick with my cheap 1990 Toyota Corolla. It ran more than 135.000 miles and never failed. ------------------------------

I'd love to see it with the flatbed installed.I think I mentioned this before,Dodge is re-introducing the Power Wagon.Locking front and rear diffs, electronically disconnecting front swaybar, only comes with the 5.7 Hemi. It's basically a 2500 with softer springs with a little more suspension travel.A Warn 12,500lb winch is built into the front end, mounted behind the bumper. This thing is ready to go offroad.

>I'll stick with my cheap 1990 Toyota Corolla. You got a 1990 toyota corolla? That's what I got Jan. What scares me is that it has 135,000 miles on it. What are the chances? I hate it because it's not a cool car but I can't complain about 41 miles to the gallon. >You mean 426 Hemi?yes I was actually thinking 440 (was it called a 440 magnum?), or a 426 hemi. Didn't realize I had typed it that way. '68-'70 Chargers were pretty sweet cars though. I don't think I could ever pay for one with a 426 hemi. Those go for big bucks compared to the other engines from what I've heard.

135K on a Toyota is nothing. You get better fuel economy than my bike! The 426 Hemi was a better engine than the 440 Wedge. The old 440's had some oiling problems. The 426 was solid, but required frequent tuning.

If you want to drive an impressive car, stop off at your local Dodge hellhole,I mean dealership and testdrive a Magnum RT with the 5.7L Hemi.Try the one with only rear wheel drive and turn off the traction control. It hauls a$$!And a 6.1L with 400+hp is on the way.

RE: Contiued: favorite cars

I have a REAL thing for mid, to late 80’s Dodge SHELBY cars!!They are CHEAP, FAST, and don’t know one know what you have!!I love them all, the Shelby Chargers, Shelby Daytonas, CSX’s, GLHS’s and the GLH-T Omni! They are getting hard to find but the “WOW” factor when you step on the “ricers” and “mudstains” are priceless.I have owned 3 Shelby Chargers, 1 Shelby Daytona, and I currently have a 4 Door Dodge Omni GLH-T, complete with factory turbo and road race suspension. Here is some great pics of a Shelby charger in the Chrysler museumhttp://perso.wanadoo.fr/trombinoscar2/dodge/dg8501.htmlHere is a link to some great GLH-T Omni Picshttp://webpages.charter.net/dragomni/glhturbo.htmlAs you can see, I love going fast on the cheap. I have seen these turbo dodge eat corvettes alive in the ¼ mile with less the 2,500 bucks invested, INCLUDING BUYING THE CAR!And you should see what some of these Turbo folks are doing to the Turbo Charged mini vans, WOW!!!My next project is an 1996 Chevrolet Caprice, with the police package and LT1 engine, LOL, speed, power, handling, and you cant put a price on the Moses effect in traffic!!!I plan on making some minor mods to it, and a good paint job, BLACK, of course! And I will have less in the WHOLE CAR than my wife’s new car down payment!!I love cars, but I place a MUCH higher value on performance than looks.I don’t care what it looks like, it just BETTER run like scalded dog, and handle like it is on RAILS.The Shelby Dodges and (9c1 LT1 Caprices) do that.
