On Grand theft auto San Andreas you can do something that I bet the rest of you guys didn't know..... YOU CAN DRIVE THE TRAIN!. Go to a train station, wait for the train to stop, and walk up to the engine door and press triangle. This throws the engineer out and you can drive! There is no horn though. X key is throttle and square is brake.

I have that game and LOVE it. But I do think the trains got the short end of the stick on drivable vehicles. It has no horn, radio, and has 1 camera view.

They could have done better, but the game's not really about the train. One camera view, the stupid scenic cam, but I found that you can change the angle by moving the right joystick.
I know, but still they could have been much better. I mean the airplanes had better set-ups than the trains. Does anyone know if you can switch tracks? Haven't figured out that yet.

Theres an F40 with a mix between Superliner and Amtk Cali coaches, and a SD40(-2?) with three long flatcars.(Just a SD40 w/o a top. They look almost like big idler flatcars)I found 2 screenshots off the GTA site. The one with the passenger train was the best I could find.

56k alert I made some screenshots of the passenger and freight trains but the freight engine didn't show up to well because it was all black. You can ride in the passenger cars and the train will take you to all the other stations if the areas are unlocked and you haven't jacked the train. My capture card isn't all that good
