ROFLMAO.....I'm really going to enjoy 4 more years of listening to these losers whine! Sheesh! talk about sore losers.... I love it... "The Republicans lied, space aliens abducted 5% of Kerry supporters, we were too stoned to get out and vote, Dick Chaney and Haliburton (AKA The Mafia) stole the election, we are too "stupid" (all 60 million plus of us) to listen to the excellent advice from Europe (where incidentally most of our ancestors fled running to get away from THEIR ideas of government)....ad nasuem!" Never once do you hear anything at all like Our candidate "sucked", Our message/vision is outdated, bankrupt and has not been updated since 1936 when FDR 1st articulated it and so on and so forth...
Also, MOST Americans deeply resent being TOLD how to vote by the pseudo intellectuals of Europe and the LEFT coast. You know minor stuff like that....Get over it! Your guy lost! You have 4 years to get organized for the next time! Better luck next time and do yourselves a favor and keep Michael Moore out of sight.... IMO he was probably worth at least 1% to Dubya.....Now you know how the "other" 47% felt during Billary's "reign"....BTW it was more like 47% not 49% you guys can't even keep the numbers straight, you even lie to yourselves about that.....Chuck Schneider

RE: We're sorry really, we are, please don't hate us.

Dear Chuck,Sanity did indeed lose. Hope you have fun gloating. The big problem with the Bush admnistration, aside from domsetic-issue and fiscal irresponsibilty, is confusing "countries" and "governments" with "terrorists," "guerrillas" and Islamic fundamentalist insurgents. I just wish we had spent one tenth the effort combatting fundamentalist terrorists that we spent on toppling Saddam, a no-account dictator who could have been ultimatley contained and conrtolled with some patience. Even a well-trained secret Assassination Corps to put a bullet through his and his sons heads would have been far more cost-effective (in lives and money) than in invading that godforsakesn place. But it's all about control and an itchy trigger finger, isn't it? I'm afraid it's going to come back to bite us like Vietnam. Another three or four years of this and Americans will get good and sick of "freedom fighting" again. We'll pull out and have another Mullah-ridden Iran on our hands--if we're lucky.PaulSWe're sorry really, we are, please don't hate us – image 6

I always like how things always seem to come down to what ever party or which ever side someone belongs to. Is it possible for one side to ever say anything nice or respectable about about the other? Personally, this is why I stay away from (political) parties. As for Bush winning, it would be interesting to see how many of the people who voted for him actually believe in what he was promoting? Seems like most people voted for Bush simply because he was the lesser of 2 evils. And seeing that Powell is resigning, seems to be only getting worse. IMHO, Powell was the only respectable gentleman in the current administration.MykelEDIT: added political infront of parties

>a Japanese bullet train.Even if it passes through the House, I'm pretty sure it will still die in the Senate: remember, you need a 2/3 majority in the Senate to pass a constitutional ammendment. Frankly, I think Bush knows it won't pass, but he's bringing it up so he can use the results as political foil against the Democrats (that is, he'll have ammo against those who didn't vote for it when the '06 midterms come up). Just because Bush himself doesn't need to get elected again doesn't mean he won't care how strong his party is in Congress after the midterms...Jonathan Nikiforovs.

If John Flip-Flop er.. uh Kerry had won, I wouldn't want to leave the US for some other country.Give yourself 4 more years, then we can all start arguing about this again and you can vote democrat and have as equil of a chance of a prez in you favor as you would ever have.If you do go to Japan, Bring me back some Bourbon Chicken

On the whole Japan thing, you'll at least have access to the freshest anime around. One thing to think about on this whole "Bush is about to impliment a Christian state" line of thought, outside of the Ashcroft appointment(and even there I think some of Ashcroft's decisions left Dubbya thinking that maybe that choice was a mistake)Bush has not lead in the Pat Robertson direction and as for the "moral value" vote giving some mandate, remember "moral values" covers a lot of nebulous ground and the Republicans have a concrete example here in IL,Alan Keyes was everything that the "zealot" vote wanted and he was trounced in a record level butt whoopin.Gary S

I had things that I both liked and disliked about Kerry and Bush and I agree that there's a lot of things that suck in this country right now; but I just don't think that things would have been so much better under Kerry that his defeat is a reason enough to leave the country.

My question is, if people are so unsatisfied with the current administration, why leave the country? Aferall, is this not a government of the people, for the people and by the people? If I remember correctly, the ulitmate power behind our government is the people.
Can you imagine what might happen if everyone who was not satisfied with the current status would unite, and call for a change! Demand the government and politicians listen! But no, instead of doing anything about it, it seems everyone would rather stand around and pout, accept the "status quo" or move to another country......Mykel
