NERR activity writers developed approximately 300 activities/work orders during its first year of operation. These consisted of individual work orders as well as series of work orders. Some even transitioned across multiple routes. Each work order was tested and verified by NERR's Feasibility Team to make sure the work order could be completed and that all the equipment functioned properly. Once the testing was completed then it was made available to NERR members. Everyone of the activities that we post here will have been completed several times and should function very well.In addition, in order to help new users of MSTS, we developed a 'training program' to help them learn the basics of MSTS and to prepare themselves for more difficult work orders. This was an '8 day' course consisting of varying number of activities per day. They were written to simulate the daily routine of a new engineer. This course was completed over 60 times which helped us to fine tune all the work orders so that they function very well. This course will be uploaded over the next 8 weeks at a rate of one day per week. In addition to the 'hands on' training, we also developed a 'classroom' side that involved learning the contents of the NORAC Operating Rules. Further information will be posted on this part of the training course. The only activities that we will not be posting to train-sim.com are the ones that we are limited in releasing due to license agreements, i.e. the route they run on is a route that was designed specifically for NERR and we do not have permission to distribute that route outside the NERR website. At current time there are 2 NERR Specific routes with one due to be released shortly and another is currently being worked on and should be available by the end of summer.Once we have completed posting activities from our first year, we will begin to evaluate activities from our second year and those that are deemed 'verified/thoroughly tested' will be posted in the file library.Well, that's it for now.
