I downloaded the free file RD_Boxcar.zip expecting to see some skill exhibited in not only creating a visual model to tease my interest, but also a little of the expected physics improvement and knowledge incorporated into the .wag file. Not only was the physics still the based on the same old Kuju model, it even perpetuated the same old incorrect units in places such as: Spring ( Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 5e6N/m ) Damping ( 1e6N/m 1e6N/m ) Break ( 1.1e7N 1.1e7N ) r0 ( 20cm 30cm ) ). I would hope a little of the railroad experience that is on hand at PI Engineering could be targeted toward just getting the units corrected, and hopefully adding a little more trainlike physics to the files you offer, even if a free download. Folks will judge you by your first impressions, don't make the first impression a lackluster one, even if it doesn't generate revenue. My thoughts, Bob Boudoin
Hi Bob,Check the date on the Zip file, this was just a bit of fun and has been around for ages, if you would like to see something a little more sophisticated, look at the GP20 that comes with canton. Also if you fancy the idea of tweaking the e Wag file and Making it right then we would be happy to include it with the boxcar.Best RegardsTim
Bob,Send to me Timc@raildriver.comI have a better 3d model now and a gondola which I photographed when we went to pick up the SD40, we are using some early test models for TMTS alpha work whcih I will be making available forrelease at some point- these are a bit more of what you would expect - Promise Tim
