I am sure this have been asked, discussed, mentioned many times but I don't have time today to search through all the posts. Are they using DirectX, openGL, or something else?Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 2-- On Hold.)
Thanks. I was hoping they might be using something better. Let's hope they do a better job with it than M$T$.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 2-- On Hold.)
Hi Cal,You asked about the graphics engine, which sits one level higher than the OpenGL or DirectX APIs... as such, your question remains unanswered. Here's a listing of some engines out there: http://www.devmaster.net/engines/list.php?fid=4&sid=0cheers
Cal,I think it's the same Graphics Engine as used by TRAINMASTER, albeit modified for the latest DirectX ?No point buying that Sim and then having to fork out for another one ! O t t o
OTTODAD,TrainMaster used Open GL. The new program is on a totally new graphics engine using DirectX 9. Pentium4/3.4GHz Asus P4C800-E Deluxe/Rev 2 Mushkin PC3500 Black Level II/1024 Mb ATI X800XT Platinum Audigy2 ZS Platinum 2x WD Raptors/RAID 0 Plextor Premium CD-RW Plextor PX-708A DVD-R SilenX 520 Watt Power Supply Coolermaster Praetorian Case Windows XP Pro/SP2
Yes we are using a new Directx engine, it would be unfair of us to release details of the engine used at this time although we may give some datails once the Sim is completed.Tim
