Does anyone know how much it will cost, and will it be available in stores like Wal-Mart or just through the website?

First off, this is in the very EARLY stages of production. It is still probably a year or more from being ready! So, I would imagine that at this time they have not even thought of the exact price yet. Sure, there is probably a ballpark figure they will try to be as close as possible to.
And the same can be said about distribution. Just be patient and in time all things will be revealed!Mykel

It would be strictly speculation on my part, but I imagine PI may sell it direct. Trainmaster was sold direct via mail, but this could change, given the large installed base of MSTS users who would likely switch if existing routes were upgradible, translatible, ----.As for price. Top dollar for home users is probably in the area of $75, perhaps $100, but I suspect that $50 is more likely a figure - again just speculation. Amtrak found out, under George Warrington, that as he increased ticket prices trying to show a profit, there came a point, where he was showing a greater loss because fewer folks were riding. David Gunn instituted variable pricing like the airlines, and this year Amtrak is headed for a record number of riders, likely in the range of 35 million. Simulators, Games, etc. fall into the same rule. Increase price, and sure, the diehards among us will give up coffee for a while and buy it, but the majority of users will lean toward some other product. MSTS, and TRAINZ have pretty well set the ball park ceiling on hobbyist simulator prices.J. H. Sullivan, P.E. (retired)
