KHP Version 1 and/or 2
Wednesday October 13, 2004
Set-Up/Radio Test to begin at 7:30pm Eastern
Actual session to run prime time 8:00pm to a minimum of 11:00pm Eastern.I will be dispatching via Train Dispatcher 3 & Teamspeak server.
Simulation clock set to 06:00am (-14 Hours in the east) Wednesday, season Fall, weather is clear. The environment is a suggestion only, and is up to the user's discretion. The simulation is based on CPR Laggan sub in 2003. Traffic levels are a lot lighter than the Florida Funnel, but should provide plenty of train opportunities, and be a little more relaxing for me to dispatch. I don't anticipate a high turnout on this route, but if we do max out the trains we can always swap crews.I only own KHP1 so I'm not 100% sure what the eastern end of this route is. The TD3 territory spans from Field to Calgary. KHP1 users can still run trains between Field and Banff with crew change to others or back to ghost train. Here are the train locations at 06:00 (8pm Eastern)
All trains are available to be taken if your looking for a short trip provided you can start your train at the below locations
Replies to this thread are considered reserved, however if you are not online and ready at 8pm then the position will be vacated, and up for grabs.

I've included the simulation time, and the actual time listed Eastern. By replying to this thread, you will be required to take the controls at the listed Eastern time. Some leeway will be given on departure time, but will be vacated within reason if your not ready to go.06:05(8:05PM Eastern) 998 Mixed Frt / Lumber - 5650 feet

Changes will not be made unless agreed on well in advance.Trains should be identified by train # (not engine #). So you are open to run whatever you want for power. The type of trains are available in the KHP install. Feet listed are the maximum length, however shorter trains, will be treated as if they contained listed length for dispatching purposes.Hope to see a good turnout this coming Wednesday.Sean

RE: KHP Wednesday October 13, 2004 8:00pm Eastern

Dan are you OK with it being moved up to Friday the 15th? If you are I'll change it provided no other sessions have been reserved. As for any more trains these are the trains in the TD3 simulation that it's based on. It is set to go at that slot, and the train locations and arivals are part of the simulation. As I mentioned this simulation does not have as many trains like a Florida Funnel, but is supposed to be realistic from the author's standpoint.I simulated up to 6AM where it looked as it would be the busiest (not saying much).Perhaps if I keep the Wednesday session, and try to get more trains in the TD3 simulation for a Friday then that would be better. But it would take some time to work it in. Unfortunately TD3 dictates when the trains come on, when they hit hotboxes, break down etc. I only hold them, or line em up.Let me know either way.Sean

OK No problem them I've moved this to Friday, October 15, 2004.If anyone can change the subject of the thread that would be great. I'll post 1 more thread just to be on the safe side.BTW I may be arriving just at 8pm on time. Do not panic, I'll provide clearance details ahead of time so that the trains are moving. I should be here somewhere between 7:30pm to 8:00pm, but may be a few minutes late.Sean

Sean, just a question and/or suggestion...You mentioned that you only have KHP version 1. Would the KHP v2 map in the file library be of any assistance to you (if you don't already have it), or is that information already available to you in TD3?I am interested in participating, but uncertain at this time if I will be able to.Regards,Wayne

No that's OK the TD3 covers everything from Field to Calgary. I do only have V1 of KHP but the TD3 version is accurate with both.Sean
