I would very much appreciate it if everyone would post their train info on the Thread "Cascades MP...Post Train info Here!!" started by Chris(SVTS). I will be using train information posted ONLY on that thread, because I feel there will be screw-ups if I try to look between 2 different posts to gather the info I need. Thank you very much everyone, I hope everyone understands. Mike Potter
Just a quick reminder to all the engineers on the Cascades MP session on the 20th: All your train entries on the thread that Andy Keffer started are VOID. To be counted in the session on the 20th, you must post your info on "Cascades MP...Post Train Info Here!!" started by SVTS. I might be nagging about this, but I don't want to lose anyone for the session and I really don't want to be chewed out because I didn't plan accordingly. Theres only about 4 trains on the correct post and I doubt thats all we have so far. "The session is only as good as the Dispatcher" GP15dash1 said, and I really believe in that. So please help me out and post on the correct thread, Thanks, Mike P.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the other thread. When I run a session, theres always some that don't show, and then there are some that show up at the last minute. I would plan on and welcome anyone who shows up. The more, the better, right? For what it's worth, I use little labels (with the paper backing still intact) and right down the train info, and slide them along a map I would have drawn up. Lee uses a eraseable marker I think, and a similar board.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
Yea, vioding is kinda harsh. I'm just trying to see how I can organize departures so that faster trains dont get stuck behind a coal drag for example, but whoever shows up we'll defiantely take.
Mike,Faster trains stuck behind a coal drag....that's not bad, that's railroading! Just think...a heavy intermodal going up the hill gets put in the hole for a while to let a faster train go by. Yep...I can see that. Kurt
