I will go ahead and disptach this session, unless someone REALLY wants to. When you know your info for the Cascades MP session, post it here. The other thread has quite a few post already of people saying they will have a SD 70 and a intermodel. To make things simple, WHEN you have your info for the Cascades MP for 8/20, post it here. It should include the following:EXAMPLE:TRAIN ID: SP 8704, Intermodel
LENGTH (And / Or Car Count): 7,334 Feet / 92 loads
STARTING POINT: Eugene Track 1
ENDING POINT: S of K FallsAs most of us are still getting use to this route, it is important that you make sure your train will make it up the grade out of Oakridge. If you want to stall on purpose requiring a helper set to come out, and you be that helper set, thats fine, but otherwise, make sure you can pull the grade. We will begin at 8PM, and anyone who wants to join in, should join in promptly at that time. I will make enough time to do this for about 5-6 hours. If you don't have time to run the entire route, or just want to run a little bit of it, than even better, start midway, or somewhere other than Eugene or K Falls. Its kind of boring when everyone starts at the end points untill they get midway and start having meets.Onto some basic rules:* Becasue of the long nature of this route, and the speeds allowed on the southern side of the route, it is very important that you call out your locations at every siding, or even more than that. Likewise of the other side of the route where one train might be crawling along at 12mph, while a faster intermodel is crusing along at 24mph. If you do not call off your locations, and I have to keep asking where you are, you will be booted off the session, in other words, fired.* If you must leave the session early, tell me your about to go on the law, or a engine shutdown, and I will put you on the next siding to be tied down.* Only 1 person can talk at a time, so don't key up if someone is talking. Make your transmission short and sweet, and when you are done, say "over". If I don't answer you, don't worry, I still heard you.* At least 10 trains must committ, AND show up on the 20th. If not, I will not dispatch the session.A Guide is available in the files area from me for this route covering the siding locations and other infomation.Chris Bogley

RE: Cascades MP...Post Train Info Here!!

Chris,Just saw this after I posted my train info in the other thread...so sorry for the cross posting, but to keep it easy to manage, I'll put my train info here.Train ID: UP 8636, symbol ANPSE (autoracks)
Length: 7818 feet, 4090 tons, 81 cars, 81 empties
Starting Point: SP Yard tracks 5 and 6. The inbound crew managed to limp in with three dead SP SD40s, and there's no way we'll make it over the hill until we get some replacement power. The yardmaster broke the train up and put it on tracks 5 and 6, so we'll have to assemble the train once my conductor and I have checked out the new power.Ending point: Eugene (if we get that far)

Chris,I'll take 9800...wasn't me that called 9804 originally, so don't change your train on my account. I picked 9800 since that's a number I have that wasn't in use (9804, 9823). I rarely look at the train from outside, anyway, so it doesn't matter...I'll answer to just about anything on the radio. You'll notice that SP 7400 was already taken, too. Are you saying that about the REAL 9800 or about the MSTS 9800? Kurt
