I have been working on a new SIM that makes extensive use of the merge and split functions. Turns out that there were some significant problems with these functions, but when I presented the problem to the Signal Computer folks, they responded with a solution very quickly. These changes have been implimented in the latest release 3.1J. So, if you are designing a SIM that requires a lot of switching, Train Dispatcher can now handle it.Would like to hear your thoughts on switching intensive simulations.David A. Petersen
Looks like I'm gonna hafta d/l 3.1J. My one attempt at a switching exercise was a disaster. 'Course, switching uis usually done within yard limits, and under yard rules rather than ATC or T/T and warrants, but I guess a road switch could be done. (As in local freight) Might be fun!
