Now that winter is about to set in, I'm starting to find a little time to work on Train Dispatcher. I've attached Centralia South vers 1.1, which has a few bug fixes.I'm also getting going again on Centralia North. I have the track completed and I'm starting to add trains. I'm using the same train info I used for CS to make a matched set. That gives me pretty good info for the road trains, but I have some gaps in my knowledge that I'm hoping you guys can fill. I can adlib this stuff if I have to, but I'd love to make the territory as accurate as I can. 1) Tacoma Grain Trains
What is the typical grain train scenario? I'm guessing that northbound loads run north on Main 1 from Ruston and work at Continental with light power running up the lead through 21st Street into Tacoma Yard. Empties I assume come light power out of Tacoma to Continental, work off the main then proceed south. Am I close? Do UP trains work just like BNSF trains? Do they still run Tacoma grain empties north to Stampede or Stevens? Do Tacoma switch engines work the grain elevators? 2) Locals
I need rough on-duty times, days of the week, train sizes and typical work for all of the locals on this territory:
Mobase?
BNSF Oly Turn?
Crew 9?
Crew 10?
Crew 3?
Any other BNSF locals
Any UP locals that run on BNSF? 3) Tacoma Yards
Are there any fairly typical times that switch engines use the main for switching moves at 21st St or Reservation? Is there any kind of transfer to or from Fife or the Taco Belt? Is there a job/jobs that regularly switches Half Moon, Continental and the industries near the Amtrak station? 4) Auburn
Are there any locals or switchers based in Auburn? 5) Stampede
Can anyone give a schedule of trains to and from Stampede and what work they do in Centralia South's territory? 6) Sounder
I'm planning on setting up Sounder trains based on the current schedule. I assume southbound trains need to call on the Main 1 stations and northbounds need to call on the Main 2 stations. Are there any deadhead or switching moves? 7) Tacoma Sounder trackage. Who controls this? Do I need to add it to Centralia North or do they have their own dispatcher? Are they using this trackage? 8) Drawbridge
How often is Bridge 10 (near Pioneer) opened? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I'm really happy with Centralia South and I'm hoping to make Centralia North just as good. Steve Hart
