RE: Why no UKTS?

Tom, There are clientel who frequent here but will not go to UKTS and obviously others who frequent the reverse, we felt it only fair to try to cater for those that have made Trainsim.com there home.UKTS is heavily UK biased and Trainsim.com is more globally biased, so the heavier concentration for the moment is still with UKTS with respect to our first release. However some of us have cast aspiring eyes at locos further afield occasionally . Whether we maintain two forums in the future remains undecided however we are grateful to both administrators for space on there sites. We do hope other teams will join us in trying to break down the occasional payware-freeware debates like many flight sim teams have managed to do.There is room for all and so many locos and routes and stock to build no one person or team can ever hope to accomplish that in a normal life time .Best RegardsMichael Daives

RE: Why no UKTS?

Just to add to Michaels post:Having been involved with trainsim things for the past 2 years or so, I have noticed a good and growing interest in British Steam, like Michael says some people just stick to one site and often many come here and to UKTS to look for addons for their Sim.All too often I hear- "Wow why did no one tell me you could get this etc.."All forums are a great way to let people know what you are up to and this project is no exception, we are all freeware designers but releasing this work as freeware would be out of the question mainly due to the expense we have all gone to to build it.With train-sim.com as it is I feel it would be great to see other support forums on here and other sites from other publishers. Why no UKTS? – image 2

Eh, where did my signature go?
Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...

RE: Why no UKTS?

Tom,What a wicked thought , no its nothing to do with that, unfortunate as it was l'd like to think many learnt from that not only the protagonists but others as well.Whilst l like UK trains alot my main interest lies over the waters and l'm still heavily twisitng Mikes arm for some Euroland and North American stuff. If those projects come to fruit then its clear to see that posting at UKTS is of little interest to that clientel and then this small forum in Trainsim.com will be hopefully well placed and established as a window for these people.Just checked out your site, l see your into BVE , love that little sim, not as fiddly as MSTS but does have a certain immersive drug like effect, best route IMHO is the Watford - Milton Keynes WCML, the class 86 sounds are nice esp when it ramps up after the section gaps oh and the AWS sounds, very prototypical .Best regardsMichael Davies

Hi Micheal,Aah, I did think that it was a UK only company, but if there's going to be US stuff then yes, UKTS will be not that useful .Yes, I am into BVE, it's better than MSTS for commuter / subway routes IMO .

RE: Why no UKTS?

Tom,Most of us are UK based but we have some guys from down under testing some actual SVR guys testing as well and Tim in the US, actually l dont know Tims native land ?, l'm half UK half Danish, a real mish mash of a team. Some of the LUL BVE routes are coming together real nice, think l'll reinstal and take it for a whizz after a few beers, the little smily face cracks me up, my son keeps saying go faster, go faster, make the man really cross LOL.l'd like to try some japananese routes with some decent elctric locos but all of them seem to crash in one form or another .Best regardsMichael
