Electric Heritage – image 1

HiJust ordered the new Electric Heritage CD from Blue Arrow - and judging by the screenshots, this should be a fantastic add-on. The level of detail looks outstanding, as does the choice of rollingstock to go with the locos.Just one question - can anyone recommend a good British electrified route to run them on? Is the Woodhead route a good contender? Thanks in advance.
Cheers

RE: Electric Heritage

Yes, Woodhead would be good - it was electified at a different voltage, but don't let that put you off.Merseyside would also be good, and accurate too, as these electrics were used there. Warrington railways and North West England could also be used. Strictly speaking, these locos wouldn't have been used on these routes in the livery Tim C has portrayed them in, as these areas were not electrified until later; but don't let that bother you, they'll look and feel right on those routes.Parts of Cannock Chase v4 are also right in location, but the route has been modelled pre-electrification and so has no gantries. There is also the forthcoming 'Stoke 1969' route which is shaping up well and which is perfect in both time and place for this pack - I guess it'll be available via www.uktrainsim.com when it's ready.Paul

OK - thanks Paul and Timheading over now to UK-Trainsim to look these routes up! The Stoke route sounds very interesting too. I'll keep an eye for that one in the coming months. Maybe the release of this Electric pack will give the route author(s) a power surge! LOL Cheers
