Is there any way to get to beta tester? I want to test MSTS2 as I seem to found lots of bugs immediately...
This time 1 hour would be enough to see if they fixed any of the bugs in 1.0.

I'm guessing the bulk of the beta testing will be handled by M$ as they do this with the other games they release. The only way you can beta test for M$ is by signing up to be a beta tester on their site. I've participated in about a dozen open betas since I signed up. There are a few catches with signing up though. The biggest catch is that you can't request to test a specific game. If you've signed up as a tester, they will make random picks from their list when they want testers for a new piece of software. The other catch is that if you don't live near the M$ facilities, you will never be in on the early betas. The best you could do is be a part of the open beta. With the early betas, M$ will ask you to go to their location to test. The software is early enough in developement that they don't want you to have a copy on your computer for security purposes. With the open beta, you will either be sent a disk, or be given a link to download the software. Depending on the game, this can be a very large download. So your chances of being picked from the list specifically for the MSTS2 beta is quite remote.Your best bet would be to try and contact KUJU and see if they'll let you do some of their preliminary testing. Usually the developer will handle the preliminary testing by themselves and try to fix what they can. Then they pass it on to the publisher for a larger test group.-Jeff

You'd be surprised by the NDA restrictions placed on early beta testers by MS, you can't even talk about the thing you're testing or even if you';re a beta tester in some cases, unless it's to another person ho's signed the NDA. The penalties for breaking NDA can be quite severe, if you read the fine print. I've signed lots of NDA's in 30 years of IT work, and I'd say MS'es are pretty tight, IBM is probably the only one who can be tougher in this respect
MSTS2 is no different in this respect , trust me...
Cheers
HACps.. NDA= Non Disclosure Agreement

Let's just hope that they don't get Durwood and his sister/aunt Durwood to beta this version like they did last time. "Oh I seem to enjoy the way the train stops before you get to Cutbank, nice view from that bridge" "Who woulld want to run a locomotive backwards anyway" "Isn't that little train cute, what is a watt anyway, why did they use newtons instead of Hydrox"

That is rather scary to hear that random people are chosen for beta testing. I don't think we want to see a repeat from the first release. There are too many items that need to be looked at when testing a train sim.Edward K.
