RE: Route editor and Activity editor

That's not an Activity Editor. That's the Route Selection menu.

RE: Route editor and Activity editor

But, is Tools highlighted on the screen?BTW, I was wanting to edit my post as LocoRo edited out that the screen shown IS the Activity Editor, but had to point out that it's the Route Selection menu, even though Activities is highlighted.

Hooray! I can't count the times I've wished that I could have a map to know where I was going on Sandpatch, the Marias Pass, NEC v4 or the Full Bucket. Let's just hope it's a useful map.

RE: Route editor and Activity editor

I sure noticed the Lotschburg line in the activities list. Hopefully that means they have included the BLS line. Although living in the southern USA, and figuring I won't likely make it to Europe in this incarnation anyway, it sure is nice to vicariously ride those famous lines in Europe. MVone's ReB simulation is fantastic freeware, which I have downloaded and often run.J. H. Sullivan

RE: Route editor and Activity editor

nope , don't want 5 foot screens
you could be a little more considerate and put a break in the the gifs , though. That would be good.

RE: Route editor and Activity editor

There is an additional aspect of Route Editor, which nobody mentioned yet, this is creating underground system (subway, metro etc).
MSTS 1.0 was unable to create underground stations, also the tunnels were rather limited.
Interesting, how Kuju treated this feature, or maybe, they gave up on urban transportation like LRV and metro.Adam

And you know what else I think of when lookin' at that pic?You remember in the initial press release the segment about 'being a virtual passenger'. Well, I reckon it's another mode to the game apart from Explore and 'Activities' as you can see 'Passenger' in the toolbar in the shot. Could this be just an extension of an ITR or a whole new part of MSTS?

What they mean by 'passenger mode', I'm not quite sure, but that's probably what that means.Community is probably the link to their website, or maybe just any links to any railroad web sites...after all, on the official MSTS1 page, they do make a referance to our forums here, so that's probably community...in addition to multiplayer.Just my $.02 worth!

I'm guessing passenger mode lets you sit in the dome and
enjoy the virtual scenery without having to worry about
becoming part of said scenery. i.e. a.i. drives your
train, automatic pilot like

RE: Route editor and Activity editor

Well, passenger mode could let You walk inside and then within a car and from a car to the other; I would like that, as I do in reality when I e.g. run the Swiss Albula route. With MSTS1 You can only destroy Your (virtual) neck by turning your head leftwards and rightwards; You can't move yourself.Carlo Santucci
