What type of Video Card , will be needed for MSTS-2

I have MSTS-1 and it runs great my 32 Mb ATI all in wonder DV Card . I would like to know , what will MSTS-2 take 64 Mb or 128 MB of video memory , or a 256 Mb Card .

Wow! It didn't run great on my 64MB card, or even my 128MB card. You must have the only copy!Seriously. Nobody knows anything about what the specs may be. The game still isn't finished yet.-Jeff

>be similar to trainz as to needing a large system. I think that is a good assessment. I'm just hoping that this time they design a game engine that's even slightly effecient. The fact that MSTS still runs like a pig regardless of how much horsepower you throw at it is a little disheartening.-Jeff

One of the reports posted mentioned a locomotive with over 22,000 polys.I'm guessing the game engine is much improved/all new.Todd

Whoa 22,000 polys. I'd say that one of the requirements would be a GeForce2 or better and at least Windows 98.

The reason that MSTS1 ran great on my Pc , because I had a 2.2 GHZ CPU and 256 Mb of DDR memory with my ATI all in wonder DV Card . it just didn't do S-VHS video good

Well Regardless to the System Specs... i did the Obvious im upgrading "Again" just ordered the Asus P4C800 System Board and im throwing in 2 gigs of Pc2700 DDR and I'll eventually get the ATI RADEON 9800 ProATI RADEON 9800 Pro

Thanks Guys , but I never saw the video for my MSTS1 show down , since my Video card was 64 Mb with my 2.2 GHZ cpu and 256 Mb of Pc 2700 .I did when I ran my MSTS with my 400 CPU and 32 MB Card .

I'm guessing that minimum req. will be P4 1.2Ghz, at least 256mb RAM, 64mb video or better and 1.5GB HD space, with Windows ME, 2000 and XP suggested. They'll probably wipe Win98 right off the board this time, but the game will probably still work with it though.Looks Like a Pony RUNS LIKE A STALLION

I'll supect that MSTS2 will have DX9 and that should work better that the curent MSTS.
I really think that the TS2's game engine will be based on the new FS2004 "hint hint: dynamic weathering and DX9" I dont think Microsoft is going to let DX9 on the back burner for TS2 and use dx8 or 7. Dx9 it will be best that to really
make TS2 fly you sould go for a DX9 capable graphics card IE ATI radeon 9800 or Nvidia Geforce FX 5900 but thats if you could put out $500 or more on a video card personally I think you sould go for Geforce fx 5600 I hear allot of good things on that card mid range price and dose everything that the 5900 can but A tad slower. well I hope this helps you out and good luck with your choice.
