RE: New screens (sorry big images!)

Oh, my. Love the level of details on the german station picture. But on that PRR(?) shot the viewing distance seems even shorter than before if that's even possible... now that's pretty disappointing.

RE: New screens (sorry big images!)

Yep, I saw these shots on a German TS site earlier this morning . Also note the large number of indicator lights in the 103's cab - what if this is a hint at a fully detailed simulation of PZB and LZB monitoring? And do you think the curves in the two German shots are banked?@ dyvach:I wouldn't worry too much about that - perhaps they just didn't set the visibility to maximum, or maybe this is an effect of the dynamic weather routines?

RE: New screens (sorry big images!)

I particularly notice the Distance to Go indicator between the two major gauges. If this is active, which it appears not to be, then we have LZB.

New screens (sorry big images!) – image 14Only thing I would have to criticize is that the 103 looks a bit small when compared to the coaches, and that the pantograph seems a bit strange...but apart from that... *drool*

And I think, the train does not have interiors as the windows doesn't look transparent.

Not only do most of the people board the train, I saw a few of them walk into the station as well.

Is it just me or are those signals the same as NECv4? To me they look the same but are they?Dave H.

RE: New screens (sorry big images!)

Totaly it seems that the direction is good or even very good. The 3D people are in my opinion very realistic and what is more important, they probably have no influence on the frame rate since Kuju were very hesitating to implement them in version 1 in order to limit this problem.
As per virtual cabs, personally I'd prefere the solid look of 2D cab and driver's panel or switching possibility like in MSFS.Adam

Wow that first one is incredible, watching those passengers scurrying along the platform. I'm downloading the other seven now. Thanks, Sören. Edit: I've just noticed that in the background there's steamer departing and I can see white smoke coming from it... movie 2 is just the intro screen, but wait... movie 3 is inside a geep cab! I've never even seen a US train in the flesh but that looks darned realistic. There's one of a pennsy steamer turning on a turntable... and an in-cab shot of a moving DB BR103... another of the 103 but this time panning round a lot more, moving some controls. Now an external view of the 103 moving... and another shot of the homepage. Whew!2nd edit: Holy smoke! I'm going to have to lie down after seeing that new batch of screenies. Just LOOK at that SD70 cab! Are my eyes deceiving me or are the tracks on those last two NS shots super-elevated?

RE: New screens (sorry big images!)

My first impression about those videos is that Kuju improved and enhanced the graphics department.
Now it's interesting to hear how far they gone in sound section and finally the most important in my opinion, how they improved the graphics engine.
BR 103 virtual cab which reminds me those implemented in Trainz, seems
to be better and more sophisticated, but it's too early to compaire since Trainz is coming with Trainz Simulator 2004 which probably will have also some new features.Adam
