And some more coal! Oh well if no multiplayer... They're giving us backwards compatability, WORKING!! turntables, 3d cabs, 3d roadbed, moving people, not just those stiffer than a board hikers, dynamic weather, and six NEW routes, including Horseshoe. MAybe for MSTS 3

I have to say I'm impressed by what I'm reading. Sounds more and more like a keeper to me. The fact that the activities won't translate also says that they have modified the editors somewhat this also has me going - YES...

Shawn, the NS line sees mostly coal traffic coming off the pocahontas division and to Norfolk for transloading onto ships for export. NS maintains huge facilities in Norfolk to load the ships. They were originally built by the Virginian Railway.

That does sound very good indeed! Of course, I'm especially keen about the DB and BLS routes...but I'm confused - didn't they say one of the routes was supposed to be from Britain?

5 routes with MSTS2 plus a (hopefully), freebie of a Japanese route afterwards! The route is ready so why not put it on the disc?I count 2 US routes, (whats the other one?), one German, one UK, one Japanese, and one other. Why they chose a German route gets me, as I already have 6 of them! And there are 2 more due soon.The game sold nothing in Japan, so they bring out another Japanese route. There is no logic in that.10 wheeler? LOL! it is a 4-6-0! Same thing but we must get our wheel specs right! I saw someone name the train on one site, but I aint that much of an anorak!David

You should read the other threads in this forum. The other US route is a modern diesel freight operation in Virginia (Norfolk Southern). The "one other" route is the BLS, a modern day route in Switzerland (need I say electric?)cheers

One important note is that apparently MSTS 2 will not ship include the routes from MSTS 1. You can convert and import them into MSTS 2, but you will need to have a copy of MSTS 1.Ron

Microsoft are themselves saying 5 (FIVE) new routes, not 6. see : http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsim/ Maybe it will appear as a bonus, maybe there is some confusion in the wider market.I guess time will tell.OZ

Im all for the Multiplayer here but when if it is either quality effects and graphics w/out m-player or other way around, I say go for the effects. But Multi would make Ts2 the best .
