Predictions about MSTS2 – image 1

I am starting to think that since Train Artisan is nolonger responding at there website that everything they had planned for MSTS is going to be in MSTS2. Just think about it for alittle. Dokkinsound came here and stated that he could not talk cause of Contractural Agreemtents. I would be willing that alot of the work in Train Sim 2 will be the work of Train Artisan. They were working on a California Coastal Route for the SP Daylight so maby Microsoft wanted them to add it all to MSTS2. Looking at the impressive aray of stuff for Trainz I would have to say that MSTS2 will be just if not more impressive. I think that MS had Goofed and found that Trainz was to be far better then MSTS2 was going to be and had to redo it from almost the ground up.Don Pottorff

>Oxymoron - Boilerbuster & thinking Kevin, If you think the idea is stupid, you can at least be constructive about it. Your constant barrage of insults won't get anyone anywhere, and never has.Dispite the fact, It is a somwhat improbable idea, and I think it is wrong, There is nothing to suggest that they are not. It is also very interesting. I have seen the screenshots of the Pennsy Steam locomotive, and it looks somewhat like ther work of
TA. Kuju has bailed out, so they might still be workeing even harder. And finally (and most important), they made a major part of MSTS V1.2, witch suggest that there union may still exsist. Remember, with MSTS, almost anything is possible.-NHtrainPredictions about MSTS2 – image 4 Predictions about MSTS2 – image 5

I have looked at msts2 screen shots and compared them with TA's steamers,I agree they do look quite alike. But there is no way to be certain.

Exactly my point myself. Having Repaint Several of there works I would have to say I have seen all there work in Very Close Detail and think that it is there work that we are seeing for MSTS2 in the screen shots. Also look at some of the Screen shots they have had on there page that hints at some of there work we have yet to even here anything about. Secondly they said that they hired several teams of developers to addon to there team. and third The Head of TA and I forget his name Worked on the developement team of Several Popular Games For Consol Units and this would give him a big chance to Make Train Artisan its own Video game company and he would be the head of it.Don Pottorff

Ya and it might get 3D trainsim somewhere if they would get rid of him. As long as they support him I will not buy anything from them. Sure I like there stuff but as long as Keven is still apart of there team I will not buy any thing from them. Sorry Marc I do love your E Engines but Kevin Keeps sticking his foot in your guys mouth. Such a bad taste as well.
I would also Like to be able to put my Repaints back on the Train-sim as well but as long as I keep getting insults they will be my property and only mine. I have done some updates to the AT&SF 1337 to make it more like the real one and I have finished several other Repaints of my KYLE SD40-2's.
I also started on a Full set of UP Streamlined Passenger cars to mirror the ones that were on the Frontier days train that went thru Colorado.... wich will include about 8 repainted Dome Cars and I am going to test a theroy on how to move existing windows to match those found on each of those cars as well.Don Pottorff

Your opinion is valid yes my repaints are crap I would agree with that. And no less are your Activities as they too are junk. So I dont download them nor would I want too. I make my own activities as only I know what I have for rolling stock and engines and routes. So yes to me your activites are no good.... I cant use them.
And Just as I am welcome not to download your Activities, You are welcome to not Download my repaints. Besides I have yet to see anything you have painted. At least I can make Activities, Can you Paint.
Yes I have stated that I use MSpaint,,,, Its Free. Simple and does everything that I want it to do. I also use other programs that i do have and I am happy enuf with what I do.
Maby though when I buy a program to paint I will charge for them as well.
but for Freewear Repaints why pay out money for a program when I have one that does the same thing for free.
I have other things I can use the money for like fixing my other car.
I am lucky to make over $11,000 a year and money is not flexable in my case. Don Pottorff

RE: Predictions about MSTS2

>Ya and it might get 3D trainsim somewhere if they would get rid of him.Get rid of who - Kevin? Kevin isn't part of 3DTrains, so I don't see what the issue is. I don't cater to namby-pamby politics on my forums, and I don't tolerate flames there either. I offered him a quite area on the 'net where he could discuss TS activities among adults, and IMHO, it appears to be working out quite well.>I am going to test a theroy on how to move existing windows to match those found on each of those cars as well. You might look into using the FreightAnim tag for these. Careful use of alphas will result in some nice results.Cheers!

That was what I was thinking of using Alpha Channels to open new windows on the side. I was unaware though that was how it was done but now I know due to your help Marc. Thanks!!
I will buy your stuff Marc I just dont have the cash right now.
Kevin is just pushing me every were I go Because I am alittle vocal about addons and it seems that My Critizem seems to offend him. I assure you that If I do Critize someones work I dont mean to inflict harm nor am I looking for a fight. Kevin seems to think that I am looking for a fight so I will make him happy by jabbing him a few times a month
He seems to be a Old Grouch with noting to do but sit here at this forum and Antagnize people and start flame wars. Kevin Maby you need to get a Life and find a differant hobby, Cause this one is getting you nowere.NOTE: to those who Wish to pick at my spelling. I am not in a posisition to care about how my spelling or grammer is. I am not a Collage Graduate. I failed english many times in school as I had a little more intrest in other matters while in School as most normal Teens were. I am an artist and I was heavy into Music. So Sorry if I am not a Pulitzer Prize winning Typer or writer. My Ambitions lay else were in life.Don Pottorff

>Thanks!!I've had limited success using the alphas on FreightAnim items. The problem comes from the sorting of objects, but might work if the car body was used for the FreightAnim tag, and the windows were part of the main car. You can mess with the passenger car SDK on my site for ideas.Cheers!

Thanks again. I need to get some ambititon to start on them. I had almost forgoten before my mention of them here that I was going to do that paint. But However I get a reminder every time I run my ATSF pack that I got From TA as one of the Dome cars on one side is Union Pacific and the other side is AT&SF, as I was using the set to test my paint and how it shows up in the Sim. I had some nice pictures I took of the Real set that I am using to get the right tone and Colors off of and its looking good but I think its a little bright as the picture I have had the sun shining on it. However I will have to look and see what it looks like in the shadows before I change it.
This was my First Color test of the UP Columbine Dome car and I Seem to think that is the color I may stick with but am open to suggestions

It will be some time before I finish them as there are about 17 cars in wich to paint and that is only the first. Second I need to get a Licenese from Union Pacific to distrubute it when it is done. and the Last part is it will only work if you have the TA ATSF Super Chief set.Don Pottorff
