RE: For people who love Explore Route...

Have you given PO&N V6 a try?All the activities are "open ended". No work order to complete, just driving around. There is active stock peppered all over the place that you can pick up and pull someplace else.Basically, it's just like explore route with AI trains, and stock you can schlep around. I can just drive around for hours making up work orders as I go.I prefer this concept much better than the "canned" activities. I'd much rather spend my time doing what I enjoy doing, rather than someone elses idea of what I'd like to be doing.I would love MSTS to have a feature similar to this, but I'm not holding my breath. Unless the AI trains are strictly eye candy and never cross the players path, it takes a bit of effort to get the timing right so the player can get past the single track sections. As for animated people, I'm pretty against the whole idea. I like driving the trains, not watching the people. I'd rather they take the polygons wasted on moving people, and put them somewhere worthwhile.-Jeff

Hmmm... You should have found lots of stuff using either PON or PO&N. Both are used. The full name is Port Ogden and Northern.Anyway, The route filename is ponv6.zip.
You'll also want pon6updt.zip.Give it a try. It's the route I run 90% of the time. I think the freeform activity concept is genius. -Jeff

Indeed I do. I always see words, that sound like something else. In this case, it looks like the stuff that I get in my Hotmail inbox every 2 minutes.yeah, I was thinking of an explore route with AI trains, seems pretty cool, but what if there's a slow train ahead of you?

RE: For people who love Explore Route...

I too am an EXPLORE lover, Kurtis !I like the FREEDOM of it and also create my own Activities with specific "Starting Points", allowing me to go where I like and do what I want, with the additional bonus of being able to pick up rolling stock along the way and drop it off ! RANDOM TRAFFIC has been on my MSTS WISH LIST a long time ago. Even mailed it to KUJU, waste of time !We got it in Flight Sims and it should be easy enough to program Trains Traffic to appear randomly whenever the Player Unit is on a twin-track section ?O t t o
