We know that in MSTS2 the turntables will turn. What I would love to see is more moving parts on the engines. Like that when you increase/decrease the trottle, the engineer figure in the cab would move his hand on the throttle lever or pull the cord when you whistle. And when you stoke, the fireman would move too.And that things like the brake blocks would press against the wheels when you brake, that would be awesome! Or why not the reverser mechanism would move when changing to foreward/reverse.I know this will be impossible in MSTS2, but maybe MSTS3 or 4 perhaps. /JonatanSteam rules!
Yeah, I second that about the framerates, but if it was an option that could be turned on and off such as (Complex animation of trains) then it might work for people with higher-spec computers. On the other hand, I don't know about you, but I'm not usually staring at the wheels very much when I run trains in MSTS. Nice idea, but like has already been mentioned, more moving parts = lower framerates. And personally, I fail to see any way they could say, animate an engineer without it looking totally stupid. Much like I'm dreading the "animated passengers" feature. I sure hope you can turn them off.-Jeff
