RE: I always wanted this

I would like a long (very long) convencional train line.... starting in a big city... ending in another big city... passing by some big cities.... lots of vilagens and town....that way... we could just run a long-haul train, either passangers or goods, or even local services... it would be very interesting to have a line with a coexistence of these varous types of trains... and zones with high density traffic near the big cities.... ah... the challenge of keeping up with the timetable while in front of you there's a commuter train that is running late

I think a local England route, E.G. a line out of a busy london station then you can have express runs and local lines.

OK..

The Flåm Line in western Norway. Only about 20km long, but with a 5.5% grade and breathtaking scenery. And it is operated with conventional adhesion rolling stock - no rack or stuff like that.

A long north european freight route with heavy traffic

Malmbanan in Sweden. Interesting traffic in real life makes a good scoop for interesting activities in the sim.
A route where the Swedish loco "Iore" comes to its right.
Very nice nature along the route, with different scenarios at the end parts of the route which is both at the Swedish side and at Narvik in Norway.
