Somerset Dorset. There were screenshots of it and a Black 5.

Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...

>Cheers, 7&Y Now as a chap living near the ol S&D this would be intresting to see if it turns out. we will wait and see. Still no idea why a modern day route cant be made for the UK S&C in the 20's Come on MS!!!!
Britain is more than a Steam fareing Country!CheersHentis

>There are a couple of nice add on routes for MSTS 1 which
>cover the UK which have been created by individuals. I understand what you are saying but my point is at MS... if it is the case of a route for the UK being released called the Somerset & Dorset (that no longer exists) in msts 2 its going to be yet again another Steam based route!!!! like the S&C in MSTS 1 why cant MS do a modern day UK route? I currently have no plans to aquire MS 1 routes for the UK as I have no plans to put MSTS back on my PC.... I did have plans but have found my self pretty busy on doing other projects. The main concern that I get is that all MS will do for UK based routes in further ( if any) are steam based routes from the UK to me which is not good enough... others may have an opinion and I would like to know what other people think.CheersHentis

RE: UK route in msts2

I think we might find that each Microsoft sales area, whatever they are, will have a specific additional route, which means in America you might not have a UK route and vice versa we might not get your additional states route over here.I do not think our UK route will be steam specific, it might be in the changeover period.Regards John Carr

Somerset Dorset (the slow and dirty), never had anything but steam as I am aware. At its peak, it ran all the way from Bath to Bournmouth, but the Bath Evercreech extension was a later extension to the route, which bankrupted the company, due to the expensive tunneling required.MSTS2 is a six route release There will be no differences to the sim wherever it is released.David

RE: UK route in msts2

Huh? Has the Swiss route in MSTS2 been replaced by an Austrian one? When?BTW - if any experienced route builders are interested in helping me 'upgrade' the Innsbruck - St.Anton route from MSTS1 with more prototypical speed limits, send me a message

There's a lot north of the S&D.Wouldn't be the East Lancashire Railway as preserved would it?Or something even further north, West Highland, say?Oh and btw, you don't want a modern British route, talk about boring DMUs.

The way Microsoft are going it seems that they think the UK (where the railways oficaly started) have no diesel / Electric traction!!! We still operate on steam. :rolleyes:This is the problem with Microsoft they are so ill informed yet when its pointed out to them they say to hell with it ti will do...!!!!Hentis

DMUs -
Sheds & trainload freight - :yawn:Perhaps what you would like is not what is going to sell the most boxes. So don't jump up and down and have a paddy when they're not including what you happen to like, or get annoyed when I point out that your utopia is someone else's hell. The modern British scene is extremely boring, but I don't jump up and down shouting I want only the Midland Mainline set in the 1930s now do I?
