About an hour ago I uploaded a Narrow gauge track pack for RB and BVE hand coded routes. Also included was a demo route. I expect they will be available later today or tommorow
This is set of narrow gauge tracks and narrow gauge tracks with rack rail. They are in the size of 12" 24 " and 36 " ( approximately 300,600 and 900 mm). They have smooth curves of 50, 100, 150, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 meters. Also included are the raw rack rails for these curves if you want to add them to your rails. Included is a text file to add to your trackdef file in route builder to give you access with out having to define these tracks. As a bonus, a center rail usable to build cable car lines is included. This could be used to create a San Francisco type rail system or perhaps an electric rail system like was used in Early New York, with the power rail under the street in a trench.
The route contains three sets of routes for 1,2 and 3 foot tracks. All are identical except for the gauge. All are driveable both ways. The standard gauge exists only to show scale, but making it drivable with RB is easy, so I did. ||Also the RB Cows are present. The Tracks ( note standard track is not included)
Narrow Track Pack and Demo route – image 1A look at a beginning San Francisco type route ( Does not exist, just a quick demo look). Naybe some one will be inspired.
Narrow Track Pack and Demo route – image 2A look at the 2 foot route outbound from Downtown.
Narrow Track Pack and Demo route – image 3If you can not download from the Train-sim library, send me an email via the Train-sim email utiity and include your email address, and for the first 2 weeks from today, I will email it to you. I am working on a very simple web site to post my stuff, and this will be there.

Haha... San Francisco... My guess is the biggest problem for that route would be making a train that goes ONLY a maximum of 9.5mph... uphill, downhill, and going flat. I don't think that's possible. Also, that hill isn't NEARLY steep enough! EDIT: I can provide you with some detail pictures of cable car tracks if you like... they're actually a bit more complex than that.Tim Frost

Well that and making something that will CLIMB the hill at 20+ % ( and the victorian houses and .... but that is the fun)>EDIT: I can provide you with some detail pictures of cable

>complex than that. I know, and they are not 3' but 3.5' if I remember. And of course the cable sound! How do we make that a run sound? But it could be done. And for those with MSTS envy, something that has not been done there yet. This site http://www.sfcablecar.com/ used to have a recording of the sound, but it will not respondAlso see http://www.cablecarmuseum.com/
